ATRIEV PARTICIPATES AT ICT JOB FAIR

To mark this year’s “National ICT Month” the Information and Communications Technology Office of the DOST, together with the National Council on Disability Affairs, Centrex and SM Supermalls as well as various partners in government, private sector and people’s organizations, has held for the third year in a row “ICT: an ICT Job and Skills Fair for PWDs”, on June 19, 2014 at the Cyberzone, SM North EDSA Annex. This year’s event theme “Work Anywhere Through ICT” focused on the utilization of ICTs allowing PWDs to work from anywhere.

ATRIEV, as one of the partners for this event, showcased adaptive technology for the blind in its very own booth. Carol Catacutan, ATRIEV’s Chief of Operations, was also one of the emcees of the event alongside Roy Espiritu, ICTO’s Communications Head.

Deaf, blind and mobility impaired job seekers chose from some of the top BPO event exhibitors like Teletech, Teleperformance, E-Performax, Freelancer.com, Sitel, Teledevelopment Services and more. With the success of the jobs fair, persons with disabilities will have an equal chance at getting the right job for their skills.
